Oakley sunglasses: Tour de France Limited Edition


This Saturday the 100th edition of Tour de France was inaugurated with the first leg in Corsica. This world-renowned cycling contest will see its winner on the 21st of July in Paris after 3,479 kilometres of racing.

To celebrate this fantastic contest Oakley has re-designed four of its most famous sunglasses adding the Tour de France logo at the bottom of the lens. The temples have also been inspired by the competition and the colours choosen are the ones of the French flag; blue, white and red.


Radarlock Path OO9181 is made of lightweight 0 Matter and has got Unobtainium earsocks and nosepads for increased comfort and performance. For the lenses you can choose from the Polarized, Iridium and photochromatic ones. These sunglasses are ideal also for other sports such as skiing and trekking.



This season Oakley has teamed up with the famous cyclist Mark Cavendish to create the Radarlock Path Cavendish Edition. These sunglasses presents a metallic green frame and jade Iridium lenses that works great in medium-bright light and a hot and sunny climate.



Radarlock XL Straight OO9196 is a very performing sport-goggle. Made of lightweight 0 Matter it presents ellips metal icon accents and the lenses has been cut with an 7mm additional height above the nose bridge in order to not interfere with the view. This style has been designed with straight-stem geometry so it can be used under helmets. The lenses are interchangeable thanks to the Switchlock system and comes in Polarized, Iridium and photochromatic options.



Another of Oakley’s best-sellers is the Half Jacket 2.0 XL OO9154 that provides the wearer with a better down-ward view tank to its semi-rimless design, in other words its perfect for cyclists. The Tour de France sunglasses comes with a special soft pouch that has been designed with the Tour de France motif and colours.



Oakley FuelCell OO9096 is a lifestyle frame that works great both on the beach as well as on a skateboard or riding a BMX. The wraparound shape blocks out the sunlight from every angle and protects the eye perfectly from the sun. The lenses are made of the Oakley Twin Toric lens technology with HDO and comes in Polarized and Iridium versions.
